My First American Wedding

I was so thankful that God allowed me to spend a weekend with my "American family" in Ohio before I came back to Hungary. I joined them for my first wedding in the States, which was a very different experience. :) Everything was so beautiful! God surprized me with a couple of friends who were also there on the wedding! I praise the Lord for the Price family, for their love and care!

Biblical Counseling Training Conference

I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me to be there for the BCTC in Lafayette, IN. Ever since I started taking counseling classes attending this conference has been a dream of mine. I appreciated a lot the wonderful speakers and the many lessons God taught me this week! I could share so much, but let me just focus on one message, how to make much of God in your counseling (by Pastor Brad Bigney).

The #1 thing in our lives should be to glorify God. The glory of God is the character and beauty of God GONE PUBLIC. So to glorify God is to spread His FAME (doxa, Greek word for glory in the NT) and to cause people to realize the WEIGHT  (kabod, the Hebrew word for glory in the OT) and IMPORTANCE of who God is and what He does. His glory was most clearly and most fully revealed to us on the CROSS. Oh, how I wish that I could always be the sweet aroma of Christ (2 Cor 2:14), making God's name great!

It was also a blessing to see many friends I know through Word of Life or my Biblical Counseling classes, and to make new friends. :) Thank you, Father, for this special gift from YOU!

Sharing About WOL Hungary

The Lord gave me several opportunities to share about our ministry this past week. I am so thankful for the many wonderful brothers and sisters I met, they were a huge encouragement and blessing. I enjoyed the church presentations, visiting an Awana club, the dessert fellowships and Sunday School meetings, and the many personal conversations about what God is doing in Hungary. I praise God for Yana, that though she serves in Poland now, we made a great team representing Word of Life Europe. :)

Forgiving Without Limits

Oh, how thankful I am for this past week! It was so good to be back in school, I loved the counseling classes and I learned so much! (Actually we'll find out after the test how much I remember... :-)) One of our topics was forgiveness. Hurts are real, but when we fail to forgive we forget the huge debt God forgave us. God wiped our records clean. Don't count offenses, forgive without limits. (Freedom from Resentment, by Robert D. Jones)

Right now I'm in Michigan visiting our former Dean of Students and his wife - Marion and Candy Hall. Yana, our former Assistant and Lea, one of our graduates are here as well. What a lovely reunion! So happy!

Have I Done My Best for Jesus?

I got to spend this weekend in Dyer, IN. Bethany and I are taking the same class at FBS this semester and we'll be riding together to Lafayette tomorrow morning. It was a huge blessing to get to know her family and worship with them on this pretty Sunday. I met a lot of sweet people in church today, and I was so encouraged by the songs and the message. What can I say at the end of my life - have I done my best for Jesus? What will you say? May our love for Jesus compel us to glorify Him and keep sharing the Gospel until He takes us home.

On the Road Again

"Praise the Lord... in the heights above", says Psalm 148, and that's what I was doing as I was flying across the ocean two days ago. So thankful for the opportunity to take another class at Faith Bible Seminary, go to the Biblical Counseling Training Conference, and visit some friends in the next three weeks. This has been my longest trip to America - due to the weather in Chicago, but I also made several stops in Brussels, Washington DC, Glen Elly and Dyer. I start classes in Lafayette on Monday, so please be praying for me as I study. Pray for my girls too back home in Hungary, I miss them so much! Thank God for my wonderful supporters who made it possible to be here in the States once again.
