The LORD is my Shepherd I shall not Want

 

John 10 is one of my favorite passages from the Bible. I just heard a wonderful sermon about the blessings of being a sheep and since it was very encouraging to me, I’ll share it with you. :) Jesus says that, “When he [the Good Shepherd] has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.” (John 10:4) Here are four blessings of being a sheep:

1.       We are placed by God.

2.       We are protected by Him.

3.       We have a path to follow.

4.       We have the blessing of a Partner.

As I’m praying for the summer I find a huge encouragement in these truths. It’s so wonderful to know that God has a plan for me, and all I need to do is to follow. After listening to this message and giving all my questions back to God, I received the wonderful news that I have enough money on my account to by the plane tickets!!! Isn’t that wonderful? The Lord is so faithful! Please keep praying with me for the missing amount for my tuition and insurance. This will be around $1300. I'm praying with expectations and I trust God He will provide!!! 

While I'm Waiting

I LOVE being a missionary! There is nothing I would rather do than serving my Savior “full time” as people often say. What a blessing and privilege it is that I can be part of the Word of Life family as I live my life for Christ! I enjoy leading the women in the Bible Institute and being part of their lives while they study here. There is so much joy in watching them understanding and applying the Word of God.

There are challenges as well. I am aware that “I am not enough”. So many times I have no idea what counsel to give or how should I approach a situation.  And I am so thankful for this!!! God’s Word is true – He chose “the things that are not… so that no one may boast before Him!” It’s only by Him and through Him that I can do this ministry. So I am learning to live by faith every day. Here is something I heard not long ago and I would like to challenge you with as well:

1.       Living by faith means obedience to God’s direction.

2.       Living by faith means being a blessing.

3.       Living by faith means living a life of worship.

Please pray for me that this would be true in my life every day! Last week was especially hard because I was a little discouraged about my trip to the States. It seems that God is silent. As I am waiting on Him to put together the pieces and provide the finances I need to be able to go, I don’t want to lose the focus. Yes, I have to pray and plan, but I have to be patient. I trust God that He will come through! So while I am waiting I will live by faith and invest into the lives of my precious girls in the Bible Institute!

A New Adventure Begins

So much has happened since August 2012! My very first trip to the States last summer was an answer to six years of prayers. It was definitely worth it to wait that long! The Lord greatly blessed my three months overseas and I came back with a heart full of thanksgiving, joy and many, many special memories. It’s still such a delight to watch the pictures, but most of all to keep in touch with my “old and new” friends. 

As the weeks and months were going by I have been faithfully praying for the opportunity to continue my studies in Biblical Counseling this summer.  A couple of weeks ago God provided the very first gift from the amount I need for my tuition and plane ticket. It was such a huge encouragement! I fully believe that if God wants to see me there, He will take care of the funds. So with great excitement I started to plan my trip for the summer. My hope is that after finishing my internal residency at Faith Bible Seminary in Indiana I will be able to visit some supporters and share about our ministry. Please pray that I would be open for whatever the Lord has for me and just blindly follow Him in organizing the details of this trip! Thank you! And maybe see you soon! ;)

Lake Pleasant - A Pleasant Place Indeed

My time in Lake Pleasant was the perfect ending of this trip. I'm very thankful for Pastor Ed and Faith Hart, and for their ministry! I was so refreshed both physically and spiritually. It was a blessing to meet the people at the Ministry Center as well, and be part of their lives for two and a half days.

What a blessed week! It was like a dream (that actually came true) to spend this last week at Word of Life New York. It was a joy to meet many missionaries, staff and guests. Honestly it was one of the most exhausting weeks physically, but very, very refreshing spiritually. 

After ten summers in Word of Life camps I’ve attended many Wednesday night campfires. Little I knew that the Lord is going to use the campfire at WOL Inn this past Wednesday to encourage me to make some important decisions before I return to Hungary. I also had the joy to share my room with Timi Tanyi, my roommate from Hungary :), whom I haven’t seen for almost three months.
